Made with 100% traditional yerba mate, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, all spice, and cloves. We added a little extra ginger in this compared to our regular mate Chai. It gives it a nice spiciness like a traditional Chai from India. Our Bengal Chai contains no black tea. With this drink, it is meant to be made with a shot of vanilla; we use the sugar free at 0 calories compared to a shot of regular vanilla syrup at 60. Substitute with soy milk if preferred. Silk soy milk is a good brand.
Brewing requirements: HOME ESPRESSO MACHINE.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Fill the single porte filter approximately 3/4 full , do not compress, run a single or double shot into a 8-12 oz cup, add your choice of steamed beverage, finish with your favorite syrup or syrup combination to taste( 1-1 1/2 oz). Each pound will yield approximately 50 drinks.
Bengal Chai Matelatte: Brew as per usual, add steamed beverage of choice, finish with vanilla or sugar free vanilla syrup. An absolutely awesome drink, once you have tried this, it will quickly become your favorite!
